YOUTH PHILANTHROPY INITIATIVE

The kickoff to TCF’s Youth Philanthropy Initiative was a rousing success!  We received dozens of entries in the Write-to-Win contest.  The winners will be announced soon, but it is a hard choice as so many great stories were received.  Involving youth in philanthropic efforts is a mutually beneficial process.  Not only do the kids get inspired, but their perspective and enthusiasm in turn inspire us too!  These stories proved that point, as the authors brought so much creativity and magnanimity to their stories and to us.

Stay tuned for our next phase (Penelope’s Kids) starting early next year.  Penelope’s Kids will join together to explore all aspects of philanthropy.  They will explore the community’s needs and resources and be empowered to find where they can help others by distributing a grant and developing a service project.
